Design Rationale : my design represents the empowerment of the slaves, the paded shoulders and the structured cape, shows how they overcame the oppression that they experienced by being more aware of themselves. They took over and became the masters of they're own fate by not imitating their oppressor but rather by embrassing their own identities hence the very african inspired fluid print. Through this design im symbolizing their fearlessness and boldness when it came to standing up and fighting for thier freedom.

Design explanation: Innovative workwear
